I'll be in Boston, scoping out the beer scene there this weekend. But, between the Big Apple BBQ and this Sixpoint Party, people in NY should have plenty to do.

It's back! The Big Ten Block Party, but this time, not downtown, across the River In Red Hook. On Sixpoint's roof deck!

This is the fourth annual Big Ten Block Party! This time we're taking a 15-minute boat ride to Red Hook, Brooklyn, to the Sixpoint Brewery! The party will take place on the brewery's beautiful outdoor roof deck and inside their next-door-neighbor's bar, Rocky Sullivan's.

In the great tradition of Midwest block parties, we will once again be slinging beers and grilling burgers, dog and brats. Brick-oven pizza will also be available.

Sixpoint Craft Ales was founded in Brooklyn, NY, in November 2004 by two University of Wisconsin alums and also features a Penn State graduate. It is only natural that we would continue to host a BIG TEN BLOCK PARTY for our fellow BIG TEN ALUMS.

Sixpoint Craft Ales brews ALL of its beer in New York City. Among the beers available for this event will be Sweet Action, Apollo Wheat, Bengali Tiger IPA, Righteous Ale, Brownstone, OTIS Oatmeal Stout.

Advance Purchase Price: $25.00 (includes unlimited Sixpoint beers).

Full a la carte bar also available (cover still needs to paid).

DIRECTIONS:
The Sixpoint Brewery is conveniently located just one block from the free Ikea Water Taxi which departs from Pier 11 on Wall Street in Manhattan. It is a 15-minute ride.
